Kagyu Monlam Chenmo 2023 Announcement

Announcement for the kind attention of all Monasteries, Dharma Centers, devotees and friends.

I would like to inform you that following the advice and instructions of Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, the 21st Kagyu Monlam Prayer 2023 will be held in Bodhgaya, Bihar after a gap of three years.

The Kagyu Monlam, like every year, will see thousands of students, monks, nuns and other venerables gather under the shade of the Bodhi Tree, the place where the historical Buddha attained enlightenment, and recite the Great Aspiration prayers for the continued growth of the Buddha Dharma in general and prosperity of the Karma Kagyu Lineage in particular.
The dates for this year’s Kagyu Monlam have been set for 15 – 21 December, 2023.

H.H. Karmapa hopes that many of you will be able to attend this most auspicious gathering, and looks forward to finally meeting you all in person.
